It’s not about the technology…

It's usually an uphill battle trying to explain that all the buzz around "Web 2.0" and "New Media" isn't about technology - it's about connecting people.

This almost poetic video from the Digital Ethnography group at Kansas State University captures why this movement isn't about technology. It was posted in response to this video which framed Web 2.0 within a technological framekwork which has some "social" implications.

I think the name "Web 2.0" gives the idea that it's indeed about technology, for a start the name has to change.
